Our Role in Your Skater's Life

Your skater may have come to OVA after having been through some Basic Skills classes, or you may have come here for private skating lessons with one of our resident coaches.  As your skater improves, he/she might be interested in competing.  In order to compete in US Figure Skating sanctioned events, your skater will need to be a member of the US Figure Skating.  You may become a member by joining a club such as the Seattle Skating Club.

Joining is easy!  Just fill in one fo the Introductory Membership forms (if this is the first time joining us).  Returning members may use the Membership Renewal Forms.  The US Figure Skating Membership year is from July 1 to June 30 but you may joing any time.

Seattle Skating Club requires that for every skater (under 18) who becomes a member, an adult in the same family must also become a member.  Membership for the whole family is just a little more than membership for 2.  First Year Memberships are even more discounted!  So why not sign the whole family up!  SSC also welcomes Adult Skaters who may wish to skate for fun or competition.
