Membership

Membership renewal begins now and must be completed by July 31st or, if your skater is testing or competing in July, their membership must be renewed before their event.   Your SSC Club Membership provides you with your U.S. Figure Skating membership and liability insurance.  Club members are able to participate in club ice shows, compete on behalf of our club at competitions, receive priority in our test sessions, utilize our weight and ballet rooms, and purchase “ice sessions” at our most affordable rates.  Associate members are also able to utilize our facilities and purchase punch cards; however, they do not qualify for flat rate plans – including our popular adult rates.

 How do I renew?
1)      First, all outstanding accounts to the club must be paid.  It is a requirement for both our club bylaws and U.S. Figure Skating that members are “in good standing” before their memberships can be renewed.  This means that any accounts owing to our club needs to be settled before memberships will be accepted.  Emails will be sent to those with outstanding accounts.  If you have any questions concerning your account, please call or email the Seattle Skating Club office

2)
Complete the forms! (link to forms are below.  Hard copy packets can also be picked up at the club office in the back of the office door.) Renewals can be received immediately by completing all 4 pages of the forms. The forms include the Membership form itself, a volunteer form and a new two page “waiver and release of liability” form.  U.S. Figure Skating has strongly recommended that member clubs include these waivers with their membership renewals and we can not process your membership without these completed waivers.

 3)      Make the payment.  Payment for your membership can be accepted by cash, check or credit card.  Payment can be made in the SSC office or by dropping the forms and attached payment in the SSC mail slot, located just inside on the left of the multi purpose room blue cupboards.  You will be sent an email to confirm that your membership payment has been received.  You will notice that the membership rates have been increased slightly this year.  This increase is to account for an increase that U.S. Figure Skating has passed to its members clubs.

When will I receive my U.S. Figure Skating membership card?
It takes U.S. Figure skating approximately 8 weeks to process memberships.  You should receive a card and your issue of the magazine within 10 weeks of the time you have provided us with your forms and payment.  If you don’t receive your card/magazine, please email our membership chair, Joyous Chiu at membership@seattleskatingclub.org

You may register by printing the forms and faxing them or mailing them along with a check - Click Here
